The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruckus tries to work over Dominguez's front leg with a kick but Dominguez checks it.
Ruckus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dominguez circles away quickly and effectively.
Dominguez has a takedown stuffed.
Ruckus tries to clinch up but Dominguez circles away and keeps his distance.
Johnny Ruckus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ruckus darts in and clinches Dominguez up against the cage.
Dominguez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ruckus pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ruckus prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renaldo Dominguez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruckus lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dominguez backwards.

Ruckus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ruckus slaps away a takedown attempt from Dominguez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dominguez shoots in for a takedown but Ruckus shows good takedown defense.
Dominguez is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ruckus lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dominguez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dominguez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Ruckus throws a jab when Dominguez was well out of range.
Ruckus misses with a combination

and Dominguez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ruckus is looking for a sweep. Dominguez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ruckus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dominguez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dominguez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ruckus is just riding it out for now. Dominguez eventually gives up the hold.

Dominguez is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dominguez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ruckus defends it well.

Dominguez maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ruckus could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Dominguez has cracked it and Ruckus is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Dominguez!
