Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Bautin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emerson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bautin comes into the arena with Lobotomy by The Ramones blaring out of the sound system. Sergei Bautin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries for a takedown but Bautin circles away easily

and Bautin counters with a crisp one two that drops Santos! Bautin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Santos to his feet! Santos is in big trouble!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bautin gets caught flat footed, as Santos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bautin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Santos stops Bautin from standing up.
Santos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bautin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Santos's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Santos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santos lands a couple of digs.

Santos wants to stand and escape but instead Bautin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Santos wants to get back to his feet but Bautin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Santos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bautin tries to stand but Santos is controlling from the bottom.

Santos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bautin is one step ahead there.

Bautin stands up over Santos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Santos pulls Bautin in to control the position.
Santos lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bautin!
Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bautin is looking to escape.
Santos is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bautin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Santos throwing strikes here but Bautin is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Bautin is trying to reverse the position but instead Santos has taken his back - oops!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bautin is in a bad position with Santos working for a choke. Bautin manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Santos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bautin defends well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bautin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Emerson Santos will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Santos shoots and misses
enabling Bautin to counter with a crisp jab.

and Santos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bautin's guard.

Bautin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Santos is aware though and is defending well.

Santos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bautin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Santos has hold of Bautin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bautin seems comfortable defending it but Santos has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bautin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bautin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Santos couldn't care less - he's delighted!
