Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Burcev counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like The Black Fedor has been cut.
Fedor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Burcev waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Fedor. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Fedor to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burcev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burcev is working Fedor over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That has opened up The Black Fedor's cut even more.

Fedor manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Burcev lands with a right and another and another! Fedor is in big trouble! Burcev lands again and this time it's lights out for Fedor! A quality knockout there for Burcev.
