Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike TriX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Roy Savage has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TriX fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Savage avoids it really well and circles away.

Savage closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into TriX's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
TriX throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Savage got a little sloppy there for a moment and TriX has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Savage has managed to get both his arms back between TriX's legs - danger averted.
TriX is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Savage lands a couple of elbows.
Savage might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

TriX isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Savage stacks TriX on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Savage!
TriX is looking to reverse the position.

Savage decides to stand back up. Savage steps back and let's TriX get back to his feet.
Savage throws a series of punches but TriX avoids them all with ease.
Savage misses with the combination.

TriX stuffs the takedown attempt from Savage. Savage gets slowly back to his feet.
Savage throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Savage dives in and scores a takedown into TriX's guard.

Savage decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
TriX shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Savage but Savage pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Savage moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Savage dives in and grabs TriX's left leg, looking for a takedown. TriX pushes down on Savage's head and hops out.

Savage tries to bum rush TriX with a series of wild strikes but TriX uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
TriX fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Savage darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

TriX shoots in and drives through. Savage sprawls well.
TriX slaps away a takedown attempt from Savage, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Savage. Those never looked like landing.
Savage throws a front kick aimed at TriX's knee but TriX avoids it well.

TriX drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Savage tries to get back to half guard but can't.

TriX swings around for an armbar but Savage sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into TriX's guard.
Savage content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Savage loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Savage forces his way into half guard.
Savage moves nicely into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
TriX throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
TriX throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
TriX looks to move to half guard but instead Savage has passed into mount! Damn!

Savage tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but TriX paws at him with a jab and circles away.
TriX swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
TriX circles away from the clinch attempt.
Savage throws a leg kick but TriX checks it.
Savage lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Savage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts TriX as he jumps to the side.
Roy Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savage lands with a nice combination. TriX backs away looking to recover.

Savage moves into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

TriX has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Savage after a bit of a struggle.
TriX is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Savage gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
TriX has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Savage avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

TriX tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

TriX is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Savage connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed TriX momentarily.
A right-left combo lands from Savage.
Savage looks to land a combination. TriX sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
TriX shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Savage pinned against the cage. Savage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice uppercut there from Savage.

Savage throws a perfectly timed hook that sends TriX crashing down! TriX tries to stagger back to his feet but Savage just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused TriX asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
