Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Prince shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Prince was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Scott keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Scott wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Prince tries to get the hooks in deep but Scott pushed the leg off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott turns into Prince and is now in his guard.
Scott trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Scott gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Prince shoots in for a double leg but Scott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Scott drives through and clinches with Prince against the cage.

Prince tries to roll over but Scott keeps him under control.

Scott tries to pass the half guard into mount. Prince knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Scott wants to advance to full mount but Prince doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Prince tries to clinch but Scott moves away

and Scott counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Scott.
Scott throws an elbow that misses.
Prince drops down looking for an ankle pick but Scott pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Scott counters with a takedown into side control.

Scott tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Scott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Prince gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Prince is trying to maintain the position but Scott is very close to passing his half guard.

Scott lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Prince trying to hold on to Scott's head to control him but Scott postures up.
Prince might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Scott kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Scott tries to clinch up but Prince circles away and keeps his distance.

and Scott counters with a single leg into guard. Prince didn't expect that.
Prince manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Scott manages to get himself to full guard.
Prince is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Prince's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Scott utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Prince stands and steps away. Scott gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Scott wants to control from the top but Prince keeps moving.
Prince wants to sweep but no luck.

Prince trying to keep a closed guard but Scott is proving a slippery customer.
Scott wants to pass the guard but Prince is keeping the position.
Prince is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Prince is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Prince seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Scott does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Prince stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Scott to get to his feet.

Scott gets caught flat footed, as Prince shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Scott manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Prince wants to hold on but Scott pushes him away.
Scott lands a nice shot to the head.
Scott sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Scott goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Prince turns into him and now he's in Scott's guard.
Scott really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Derrek Scott will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Prince is sitting in close to Scott's body. Scott has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Prince is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Prince is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Scott.
