Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ulf Schmidt!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Schmidt.
Schmidt swinging wildly here.
King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schmidt avoids it really well and circles away.
Ryan King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schmidt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
King shoots in looking for a takedown but Schmidt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
King scores with a sloppy right hand. Schmidt should have avoided that one.
Schmidt pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
King defending well as Schmidt loads up on a big left hand.
King misses the jab.
Schmidt throws a right and a left that both miss.

King shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Schmidt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
King closes the distance and clinches up with Schmidt, looking for a takedown. King pushes Schmidt against the cage but Schmidt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Schmidt counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
King's corner calls for a 1-2. King obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Schmidt fails with an attempt to clinch.
King is looking to clinch but Schmidt is avoiding it.
King scores with a nice head shot.
King closes this distance looking for a takedown but Schmidt circles away.
A big right from Schmidt misses.

Schmidt throws a right and a left that King avoids nicely.
Schmidt throws an overhand right that lands on King's shoulder, as King tries to avoid the shot.
Schmidt lands a two punch combo.
Schmidt connects with a jab.
The fighters circling - King throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Schmidt closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schmidt fails to land with a series of punches.

Schmidt tries to sprawl but King drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

King is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Still in half guard, King seems content to control.

King is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Schmidt is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
