The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes slips a jab and a cross from McTwist.
McTwist sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

McTwist shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
McTwist looking to control but Dukes is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dukes has his foot on McTwist's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McTwist works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dukes is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

McTwist bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McTwist wants to control but Dukes is keeping him busy.

Dukes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McTwist manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dukes has McTwist in his guard.

McTwist decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

McTwist fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dukes, pushing him back against the cage.
McTwist jumps guard but Dukes stands there with McTwist around his waist. McTwist gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McTwist has Dukes pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McTwist pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dukes tumbling to the mat - McTwist dives into Dukes's guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Fingers McTwist just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well McTwist has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
