The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nikeel.
Colt throws a leg kick which misses Nikeel's front leg but catches the back leg as Nikeel tries to avoid it.

Colt has taken the fight to the clinch.

Colt manages to break the clinch.
Colt closes the distance and clinches up with Nikeel, looking for a takedown. Colt pushes Nikeel against the cage but Nikeel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Colt goes for an armbar but Nikeel turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nikeel.

Nikeel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Colt avoids it really well and circles away.

Colt jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nikeel manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Colt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nikeel keeps working.

Colt is looking to clinch.
Nikeel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Colt defends it nicely.
Nikeel shoots in looking for a takedown but Colt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nikeel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Colt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nikeel was covering up waiting for the punch and Colt finishes the takedown easily into guard.

You can see the frustration on Nikeel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Colt cracks Nikeel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Colt is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nikeel can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
