The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez has his takedown stuffed
and Ferradorenho connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Martinez tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ferradorenho makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Ferradorenho looking to score a takedown here. Martinez is defending well but Ferradorenho drives through and ends up in Martinez's guard.
Ferradorenho is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ferradorenho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ferradorenho has hold of one of Martinez's legs. Martinez is fighting the takedown attempt but Ferradorenho gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
