Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masaru Yuudai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masaru Yuudai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Compton!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Compton as Yuudai shoots in.
Yuudai has a takedown stuffed.
Yuudai blocks a jab.
Yuudai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masaru Yuudai. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Compton lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Yuudai shoots for a double leg takedown but Compton sprawls well. He's pushed Yuudai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Yuudai fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Yuudai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Compton pinned against the cage. Compton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Yuudai closes the distance and clinches up with Compton, looking for a takedown. Yuudai pushes Compton against the ropes but Compton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Yuudai slips under a jab from Compton.
Yuudai shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Compton as he jumps to the side.
Compton swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Yuudai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Compton throws a leg kick that misses.

Compton digs a good body shot into Yuudai's ribs.

Yuudai misses with a takedown attempt - Compton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Yuudai has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Yuudai there as he acknowledges the shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Yuudai tries for a takedown but Compton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

It looks like Masaru Yuudai has been cut.
Yuudai is letting Compton control him for a moment.
Yuudai is not content to let Compton control the position.

Yuudai tries to improve position but can't.
Compton is looking to take a break and control but Yuudai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Yuudai is looking for a sweep.

Compton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yuudai to his feet.
Compton pivots, looking for a leg kick but Yuudai is out of range and Compton settles back down.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Yuudai takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Yuudai shoots for a double leg takedown but Compton sprawls well. He's pushed Yuudai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Yuudai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Compton tries to avoid it but Yuudai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Compton to the ground. Compton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Yuudai throws a nice looking combination but Compton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Yuudai. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Yuudai shoots in and drives through. Compton sprawls well.
Nice body kick there by Compton.

Peter Compton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Peter Compton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Compton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
