Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wilson Sky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael White!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sky takes the fight into the clinch.
White looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Sky pulls guard effortlessly.

Sky pushes White off and gets back to his feet.

Sky looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for White!
White is in a horrible position here. Sky smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

White is bucking up trying to escape but Sky cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sky cracks White with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Sky gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Sky dives in and scores a takedown into White's guard.
Sky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sky wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position.
Sky lands a couple of elbows.
White seems to have recovered his senses.
Sky tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Wilson Sky wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Sky throws the kick towards the body but White avoids it.
Sky misses with a body kick.
White takes a shot right to the bread basket.
White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
White chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sky can pounce on him.

Sky dives in and scores a takedown into White's guard.
Sky engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sky has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Sky throws a sloppy head kick and White moves out of range easily.
Sky stuffs the takedown attempt from White. White gets slowly back to his feet.
Sky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around?

Sky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

White is breathing heavily.

Sky decides to stand back up. Sky steps back and let's White get back to his feet.
White shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sky but Sky pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Sky seems content to control.
Wilson Sky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sky connects with a nice short shot to White's temple.
Well, if Sky is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Wilson Sky has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Sky closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into White's guard.
Sky passes White's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sky is sneakily working for an arm triangle but White sees it coming and defends easily.
Well, if Sky is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
White is looking for a sweep. Sky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sky decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Sky gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Sky has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but White regains guard immediately.
White can't keep his opponent in guard - Sky advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sky is working away from the top position though.
Sky controlling the action here.

Sky is pressing down on White's thigh, looking to free his foot. White is holding on for now.
Sky not doing much here.
White is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sky forces White back against the cage and clinches.

Sky drags the fight down to the ground.
Sky manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
White is desperately trying to improve his position but Sky has a good base and remains in mount.
Sky lands a big shot there that rocks White but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sky scores with a couple of good head shots there.
White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
White is bucking up trying to escape but Sky cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

White is in all sorts of trouble here.

BOOM! Sky connects with a massive shot to the dome!

White in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sky tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sky postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have White in real trouble here! The ref calls for White to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
