Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Vargtass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zilla Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vargtass comes to the cage accompanied by Torparrock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Kong. Those never looked like landing.
Kong scores with a crisp jab that stopped Vargtass in his tracks.

It looks like Richard Vargtass has been cut.
Kong has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kong there as he acknowledges the shot.
Vargtass stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kong.

Kong drops back looking for a leg! Vargtass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vargtass manages to kick Kong off! Kong jumps back into Vargtass's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kong fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Vargtass tries to land a knee to the head but Kong blocks with his arms.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vargtass bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kong's head.
Vargtass does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Vargtass will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Kong has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vargtass's face.

Kong fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Vargtass is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kong cracks Vargtass with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vargtass has hold of Kong's hands but Kong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kong throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kong uses his free foot to push down on Vargtass's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vargtass.

Kong looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Vargtass wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kong.

Kong is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Vargtass has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Vargtass!
Zilla Kong has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kong is trying to hold Vargtass in close to prevent damage but Vargtass has managed to pass into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Vargtass takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kong throws a hook but Vargtass blocks it.
A clash of legs there as Kong blocks the low kick.
The crowd cheers as Vargtass lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kong doesn't seem phased though.

Vargtass ducks right into an uppercut from Kong.
Kong attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Some bone on bone action there as Vargtass checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Kong sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Kong avoids the body shot from Vargtass.
Vargtass leaves Kong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Vargtass misses with a knee to the head.
Vargtass tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Kong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vargtass is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kong wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vargtass looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kong closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Vargtass is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kong off and has taken his back!
Vargtass slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Vargtass has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kong has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Kong manages to reverse the position and now he's in Vargtass's guard. Nice work there by Kong.
Vargtass pulls Kong in close to his closed guard and prevents Kong from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Vargtass has momentary wrist control but Kong slips an elbow through the middle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
