PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perseus Poseidon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolverine Warpath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poseidon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, let the bodies hit the floor. Warpath has chosen X-men theme song as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warpath throws a combination. Poseidon tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Poseidon moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Warpath throws a body punch but Poseidon moves out of range.
Poseidon tries to clinch up but Warpath circles away and keeps his distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Warpath.
Warpath slaps away a takedown attempt from Poseidon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Perseus Poseidon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Poseidon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Warpath fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Poseidon on the side of the head.
Poseidon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Poseidon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Poseidon closes the distance and clinches.
Warpath has Poseidon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Poseidon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Poseidon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Warpath takes a swing at Poseidon's ribcage but misses.

Poseidon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Warpath holds on and takes a little breather.
Warpath is trying to keep Poseidon in close.

Wolverine Warpath has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Warpath lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Poseidon circles away quickly and effectively.
Poseidon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Warpath was well out of range. Poor timing from Poseidon.
Poseidon closes the distance and clinches up with Warpath, looking for a takedown. Poseidon pushes Warpath against the cage but Warpath circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Poseidon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
