Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Barreda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eiji Kawashima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barreda comes to the cage accompanied by Rockstar. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eiji Kawashima!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barreda just misses with a punch to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kawashima.
A punch lands to the side of Kawashima 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kawashima tries to land a front kick but Barreda steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kawashima with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Barreda misses with a two punch combination.
Barreda misses with a wild body shot.
Kawashima takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Eiji Kawashima has been cut.
Kawashima throws a right and a left that Barreda avoids nicely.
Kawashima throws a body punch but Barreda moves out of range.
Barreda has Kawashima up against the cage in a clinch.
Barreda is trying to force a seperation but Kawashima has the dominant position.

Kawashima throws a punch but it's blocked by Barreda.
Barreda wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kawashima escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barreda looks to throw the jab but Kawashima is out of range.
That kick from Kawashima tenderised Barreda's leg. Barreda is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kawashima lands a head kick!
A jab from Barreda misses.
Barreda misses with a straight left.
Barreda blocks a head kick by Kawashima.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barreda throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kawashima throws a head kick but Barreda moves out of range.
Kawashima displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barreda throws out the jab.

Barreda takes a swing at Kawashima's ribcage but misses.
Barreda throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Barreda has closed the distance and engaged Kawashima in a clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Kawashima.

Barreda has had enough of the clinch but Kawashima keeps him there for the moment.

Kawashima looks to score with a jab to the body but Barreda is just out of range.

Barreda wants to clinch up but Kawashima keeps it at a distance.
Barreda fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Kawashima finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Barreda works the jab nicely.
Barreda swings for the body but Kawashima moves out of range.
Kawashima misses with a hook. Barreda ducked under it nicely.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kawashima.
Kawashima misses with a low kick.
Barreda bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kawashima throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Barreda jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barreda tries to close the distance and clinch but Kawashima swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Barreda moves in looking to clinch but Kawashima pushes him off.
Kawashima has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barreda finds it's way round the side to connect with Kawashima's head.
Eiji Kawashima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barreda throws a series of punches but Kawashima moves out of range.
Kawashima throws a chopping leg kick but Barreda manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Barreda misses with a hook. Kawashima ducked under it nicely.
Kawashima misses with a kick to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Barreda.
Kawashima is rocked!
Barreda looks to score with a jab to the body but Kawashima is just out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kawashima is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Barreda checks a leg kick nicely.
Barreda throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Eiji Kawashima will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kawashima moves away from the strike by Barreda.
Kawashima lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barreda's sensitive parts.
Barreda lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Barreda stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kawashima.
Barreda moves to clinch but Kawashima breaks away
and Kawashima counters with an outside leg kick.
Kawashima connects with a solid leg kick.
Kawashima lands with a thumping leg kick.

Kawashima fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Barreda drops his hands momentarily and Kawashima takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kawashima keeps Barreda at a distance using the push kick.
Barreda throws a jab when Kawashima was well out of range.
Barreda is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kawashima lands a big head kick that sends Barreda tumbling to the mat! Kawashima takes a step backwards and waves Barreda back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Barreda is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kawashima throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Barreda crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Eiji Kawashima!
A relieved looking Eiji Kawashima thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
