Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jumping Spider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Teichmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spider drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Teichmann manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Teichmann throws some wild stikes that Spider manages to avoid easily.
Spider is trying to stand.
Spider is in all sorts of trouble here.
Spider tries to hold on but Teichmann pushes him away.
Teichmann unloads with some shots from mount but Spider bucks and avoids them well.
Spider is looking to improve his position but Teichmann isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spider is trying desperately to improve position.

Teichmann tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Teichmann goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Spider is on top in guard.

Teichmann had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Spider defends it easily.

Spider wants to get up but he can't break Teichmann's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Spider has gone for a leg lock! Teichmann slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spider's guard.
Teichmann wanted to stand there but Spider had control of the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Teichmann looking to sit in guard and control but Spider gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Spider has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teichmann is working away from the top position though.

Teichmann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spider tries to avoid it but Teichmann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spider to the ground. Spider escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Spider pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Teichmann shoots in for a takedown but Spider shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Teichmann looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Spider could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Spider is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Teichmann has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Teichmann!
