PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ordemus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Marshell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus scores with a sloppy right hand. Marshell should have avoided that one.

It looks like Frank Marshell has been cut.
Marshell fails with the takedown.
Maximus tests Marshell's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Marshell closes the distance and clinches.

Marshell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maximus blocks a head kick by Marshell.
Marshell blocks a jab.
Maximus lands a nice hook to Marshell's body. Marshell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maximus uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Maximus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Marshell's head.
Marshell throws the kick towards the body but Maximus avoids it.
Maximus throws a body punch but Marshell moves out of range.

Maximus with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Marshell scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Marshell has a takedown stuffed.
Maximus keeps the fight on the outside.
Marshell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Marshell takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Marshell looks gassed!
Maximus throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marshell tries to clinch but Maximus is having none of it.
Marshell takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ordemus Maximus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maximus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Marshell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Frank Marshell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marshell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Maximus to score with a decent uppercut.

That has opened up Frank Marshell's cut even more.

Marshell is rocked!
Maximus connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Marshell covering up! Maximus comes in with a big uppercut and Marshell goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ordemus Maximus!
Ordemus Maximus spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
