The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ovaltrades tries for a takedown but Cortes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Cortes. That's going to slow Ovaltrades down.
Ovaltrades looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cortes is fending him off so far but Ovaltrades persists. Nope, Cortes circles away and we're back to standing.
Cortes lands with a kick to the ribs.

Cortes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ovaltrades.
Ovaltrades closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cortes circles away.
Cortes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ovaltrades's head.
Cortes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ovaltrades tries to sprawl but Cortes drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Cortes uses his free foot to push down on Ovaltrades's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ovaltrades.

Ovaltrades takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Cortes's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
