Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julian Assange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Major Lazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assange comes to the cage accompanied by Date Rape. Lazer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Major Lazer - Pon De Floor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assange leaves Lazer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lazer walks into a stiff left hand from Assange.
Assange stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Assange throws a lazy right hand but Lazer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lazer shoots in but Assange avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lazer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Assange is fending him off so far but Lazer persists. Nope, Assange circles away and we're back to standing.

Assange throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Assange is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lazer.

Lazer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Assange's waist but Assange gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lazer off to one side.

Lazer is stalling here. Assange is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lazer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Assange has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Lazer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Assange gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Assange seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
