Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ima Beatyoass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Budden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beatyoass has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Ima Beatyoass looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Budden!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budden scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like Ima Beatyoass has been cut.
Beatyoass looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A slapping leg kick lands for Budden.
Beatyoass could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Budden closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Budden has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Beatyoass uses from the top position.
Budden throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joe Budden hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Budden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beatyoass swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Budden throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beatyoass tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Budden is in Beatyoass's guard.

Beatyoass is staying active underneath Budden, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Beatyoass is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Budden pulls his head out easily.

Budden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beatyoass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Budden shoots in and gets a takedown into Beatyoass's guard.

Beatyoass throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Budden escapes and throws Beatyoass's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Budden is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Beatyoass tries to bench press Budden off him but Budden keeps the position.

That's time! Beatyoass's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Budden closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Beatyoass quickly recovers to half guard.
Budden wants to control but Beatyoass is keeping him busy.
Budden might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Beatyoass kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Budden is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Budden wants to stand up but Beatyoass is controlling the position.
Budden winds up and cracks Beatyoass with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Budden is looking to take a break and control but Beatyoass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Beatyoass is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Budden seems to be working for a kimura but Beatyoass defends the submission attempt.

Beatyoass sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Budden has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Budden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Beatyoass is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Beatyoass working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Budden doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Budden manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beatyoass escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Budden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Joe Budden will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Budden shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Beatyoass's guard.

Beatyoass manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Budden manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beatyoass drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Budden dives on top into guard.

Joe Budden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Budden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
