Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gianpaolo Cassano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Warner has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jay Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gianpaolo Cassano!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassano moves away from the strike by Warner.
Cassano stuffs the takedown attempt from Warner. Warner gets slowly back to his feet.
Warner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cassano sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Warner closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cassano quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cassano has hold of Warner's hands but Warner slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Cassano pushes Warner off looking to stand but Warner dives back in and keeps control.
Warner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Warner wants to take a breather but Cassano is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Warner is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cassano defends it well.
Cassano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cassano wants to stand back up but Warner manages to pass into side control.

Warner tries for a kimura but Cassano is defending well.
Warner postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cassano takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Warner is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cassano knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Cassano takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Cassano wants to get back to his feet but Warner drags him back down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Warner has hold of Cassano's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cassano seems comfortable defending it but Warner has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cassano is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cassano is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Warner couldn't care less - he's delighted!
