The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hasse Hansson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hansson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Howard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Howard won't allow Hansson to get back to his feet.

Howard avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Howard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hansson is looking for a triangle but Howard pushes his legs off easily.

Hansson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
