Sanders has chosen Enter Sand Man-Metallica as his entrance music. Ko Master could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bruce Sanders's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Master gets caught flat footed, as Sanders shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Master will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Master is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Master wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sanders has him pressed against the cage.
Master looking for a takedown.
Master swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sanders keeps control of Master as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Master drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Master wants to break free but Sanders has control.
Master is trying to break free.
Master is trying to break the clinch but Sanders has him pressed against the cage.
Sanders blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sanders prevents Master from breaking the clinch.
Sanders lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Sanders has clasped his hands together around Master's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sanders lands some shots froms side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanders stands up and beckons Master to his feet.

Sanders looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Master!
Master is breathing heavily.
Sanders lands a big shot there that rocks Master but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sanders lands a heavy elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sanders with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Sanders working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Sanders's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
It looks like Sanders might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

It looks like Ko Master has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanders is landing with some decent strikes but Master is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Master is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Sanders controlling the position easily from mount.

Sanders scoring with strikes but Master is staying in there.
Master knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanders on the ground.

Jeez, Ko Master's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ko Master's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bruce Sanders!
