The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Verrus on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Verrus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Winkle did well to prevent Verrus getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Perry Winkle has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Winkle lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Verrus has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Verrus and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Winkle.

Verrus is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Uriel Verrus will probably get the nod.

Good leg kick by Winkle there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Uriel Verrus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Verrus misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
