PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Leloup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Montoya might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Roy Jones - Can't be touched. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Leloup!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Montoya throws a wild body kick that Leloup sees coming a mile off.
Leloup tries to clinch there but Montoya circles away.
Leloup comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Leloup takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Leloup bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Montoya's head backwards.
Montoya uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Leloup.
Montoya finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Leloup tests Montoya's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Leloup fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Montoya checks it well.
Montoya throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Montoya lands a high kick!

It looks like Jon Leloup has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Montoya dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Leloup fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Montoya manages to avoid it.
Montoya throws a big shot that misses.
Montoya punishes Leloup's body with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Montoya misses the shot to the body.
Montoya keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Montoya fails with a takedown attempt.
Montoya moves to clinch but Leloup breaks away
and Leloup counters with a three punch combo that has Montoya backing up. Montoya nods at Leloup to acknowledge the strikes.
Leloup throws a sloppy head kick and Montoya moves out of range easily.
Montoya slips a jab and a cross from Leloup.
The fight stays on the outside here - Leloup looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Montoya takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Montoya throws a head kick that misses.
Montoya connects with a leg kick. Leloup looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jon Leloup is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Montoya misses with a takedown attempt - Leloup sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Oooooh!!! Leloup has knocked Montoya down with a huge combo! Leloup steps away and waves a wobbly Montoya back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Montoya is rocked!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leloup circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Montoya to the canvas! Montoya doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Leloup keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
