The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joad drops Tarzan with a beautiful combination! Tarzan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Joad is looking for the KO!
Tarzan is rocked!
It looks like Little Tarzan has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tarzan tries for a takedown but Joad circles away easily
and Joad counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Oh Tarzan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Joad got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tarzan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joad has managed to get both his arms back between Tarzan's legs - danger averted.

Tarzan seems to have got his legs back now.
Joad looking to sit in guard and control but Tarzan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Tarzan postures up in Joad's guard and throws a big left but Joad blocks it.
Tarzan trying to control the position from guard on top but Joad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tarzan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Joad keeping moving, preventing Tarzan from controlling successfully.
Tarzan is standing up over Joad. Joad looks to escape but Tarzan dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tarzan throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Tarzan tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ground and pound from Tarzan seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Tarzan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Joad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Tarzan has hold of Joad's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Joad tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tarzan cranks the arm and Joad screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Joad, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
