The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen avoids the body shot from Kuristaja.
Hansen tries to clinch but Kuristaja moves out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Kuristaja as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Harrison Hansen has been cut.
Hansen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kuristaja defends it nicely.
A big left from Kuristaja misses.
Hansen fails with a takedown attempt.

Hansen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kuristaja!

Hansen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kuristaja is now in Hansen's guard. A big mistake from Hansen there, giving up the dominant position!

Kuristaja gets to his feet. Hansen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kuristaja throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hansen moves out of range as Kuristaja strikes.

Kuristaja throws a left and a right that both miss

and Hansen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kuristaja's guard now.
Hansen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hansen is looking to work some ground and pound but Kuristaja has wrist control.

Hansen passes Kuristaja's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hansen is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Hansen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuristaja swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kuristaja knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hansen on the ground.
Hansen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kuristaja works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hansen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kuristaja manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hansen has Kuristaja in his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hansen is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kuristaja rolls with it to try and escape but Hansen cranks on the arm and Kuristaja is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
