And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Hume!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hume is looking to clinch.
Hume throws a low kick but it's checked well by Steuermann.
Hume throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Hume tries to clinch but Steuermann is having none of it.
Hume throws a head kick but Steuermann moves out of range.
Hume defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Steuermann.

Steuermann bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Steuermann misses with the ground and pound.
Steuermann throws an elbow but Hume slips to the side and avoids it well.
Steuermann tries to move to mount but Hume blocks the move with his legs.
Hume regains half guard, as Steuermann was trying to land strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hume is refusing to be controlled, as Steuermann sits in half guard.
Hume is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Steuermann's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Steuermann's back!
Steuermann manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hume's guard. Nice work there by Steuermann.
Steuermann tries to free his leg and advance position but Hume is retaining full guard.
Hume really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steuermann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Steuermann has hold of Hume's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hume seems comfortable defending it but Steuermann has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hume is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hume is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Steuermann couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Wolfgang Steuermann really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fightworld Formula logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
