Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Coleman Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Hector Kilimanjaro!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilimanjaro shoots in for a takedown but Coleman Jr shows good takedown defense.

Coleman Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Coleman Jr showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kilimanjaro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Coleman Jr as he avoids it easily.
Coleman Jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kilimanjaro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Coleman Jr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kilimanjaro on his heels. He'll look to pass Kilimanjaro's guard now, I'm sure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kilimanjaro is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Coleman Jr can't fight it off and eventually Kilimanjaro manages to take the fight to the floor. Coleman Jr looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Coleman Jr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kilimanjaro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hector Kilimanjaro.

Coleman Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kilimanjaro's waist but Kilimanjaro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coleman Jr off to one side.

Hector Kilimanjaro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Coleman Jr isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kilimanjaro stacks Coleman Jr on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kilimanjaro!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kilimanjaro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Coleman Jr is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kilimanjaro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kilimanjaro's back!

Coleman Jr has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kilimanjaro's face.
Kilimanjaro is still in real trouble! Can Coleman Jr finish him?
Coleman Jr lands a big shot to the head and Kilimanjaro winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

In his post fight interview, Mark Coleman Jr started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
