Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Byson Baylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones's choice of entrance music: icky thump. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Byson Baylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andre Jones!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baylor shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Baylor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
Jones tries to work over Baylor's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Baylor is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Baylor breaks from the clinch.
Baylor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Baylor is looking for a sweep.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Baylor is not content to let Jones control the position.
Jones working the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones wants to control but Baylor is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baylor wants to control but Jones postures up.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Baylor get back to his feet.
Baylor looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Baylor drives through with a takedown into guard.
Baylor works over Jones with some ground and pound from guard.
Jones wants to stand up but Baylor is controlling him.
Baylor works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Baylor is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Baylor is looking for a kimura here.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones is trying to control but can't.
Jones works his way to full guard. Good work.
Jones wants to hit a switch here but Baylor passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jones there!
Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Baylor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Baylor's attempts to control the action.
Baylor with a couple of short strikes.

Baylor avoids the attempt from Jones to control.

Baylor has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Baylor working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up.
Jones is looking to improve his position but Baylor isn't that keen on the idea.
Jones bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Jones wants to pass the guard but Baylor is keeping the position.
Jones throws a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baylor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Baylor's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jones works over Baylor with some ground and pound from guard.

Jones is posturing up here but Baylor has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jones tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jones has to tap! Slick submission there by Baylor!
