The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andromov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Matthews scores with a jab to the jaw.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Andromov enables Matthews to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Andromov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Andromov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Matthews.
Andromov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matthews on the ground.
Andromov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Matthews is looking to work some ground and pound but Andromov has wrist control.

Matthews decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
No joy there for Andromov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Andromov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matthews circles away quickly and effectively.
Andromov catches Matthews with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Matthews takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Matthews lands a left and a right that sends Andromov crashing to the canvas! Matthews dives into mount looking to finish!

Matthews unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Andromov wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Matthews celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
