Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between ALtropos Lion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Vinicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lion on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Vinicius misses with a series of wild punches.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lion.
Lion landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Vinicius tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lion remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Vinicius looks to move to half guard but instead Lion has passed into mount! Damn!
Vinicius tries to reverse the position but Lion maintains control.

Lion wants to finish this one by submission but Vinicius is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lion.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lion cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Vinicius sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lion seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Lion got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vinicius has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lion has managed to get both his arms back between Vinicius's legs - danger averted.

Vinicius wants to improve his position but Lion is controlling well.
Lion winds up and cracks Vinicius with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Lion is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vinicius doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lion.

Lion lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lion is keen to just control but Vinicius is a slippery customer.

Lion is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lion throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vinicius was covering up waiting for the punch and Lion finishes the takedown easily into guard.
