Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Goodrich as Rivers shoots in.
Rivers slaps away a takedown attempt from Goodrich, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Goodrich tries to close the distance and clinch but Rivers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Goodrich's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rivers under the eye.
Rivers fails to land the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rivers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rivers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Goodrich looks for the body kick but Rivers saw that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Goodrich scores with a jab to the body.
Rivers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Goodrich keeps the fight on the outside.
Goodrich tries to clinch there but Rivers circles away.
Goodrich shoots in but no luck this time.
Rivers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Goodrich as he avoids it easily.
Walter Goodrich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Rivers.
Goodrich shoots in looking for a takedown. Rivers tries to sprawl out of it but Goodrich keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rivers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rivers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rivers checks a low kick from Goodrich.
Goodrich throws a front kick aimed at Rivers's knee but Rivers avoids it well.
Rivers tries for a takedown but Goodrich circles away easily
and Goodrich counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Goodrich is sitting in close to Rivers's body. Rivers has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Goodrich is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Goodrich is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rivers.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Aaron Rivers!
In his post fight interview, Aaron Rivers started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
