Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tatsuya Kawajiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tim Andries!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Andries ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Andries shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kawajiri as he avoids it easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Andries.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Andries sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kawajiri is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Andries happy to just control the position for now.
Kawajiri is trying to improve his position.

Andries stands up and beckons Kawajiri to his feet.
A jab from Andries misses.
Andries walks into a left hand.
Kawajiri stuffs the takedown attempt from Andries. Andries gets slowly back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kawajiri lands a head shot.

Andries fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kawajiri manages to avoid it.
Kawajiri misses with a wild combination.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Andries.
Kawajiri is not content to let Andries control the position.
Andries throws an elbow but Kawajiri slips to the side and avoids it well.
Kawajiri manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Kawajiri throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Andries is looking to control Kawajiri's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Andries avoid being mounted?
Kawajiri wants to stand up but Andries is controlling the position.

Andries is defending against the submission attempts here by Kawajiri.

Kawajiri is thwarting Andries's attempts to control the position.

Andries manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Andries shoots in looking for a takedown but Kawajiri manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Andries's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tatsuya Kawajiri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Andries.
Andries looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kawajiri tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andries paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kawajiri defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Andries.
Kawajiri lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kawajiri connects with a nice looking jab.
Andries ducks under a wild hook from Kawajiri.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kawajiri lunges at Andries with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Andries's hand.
Decent striking displayed by Kawajiri there.

Andries scores with a takedown into Kawajiri's guard.
Andries must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Andries wants to control from the top but Kawajiri keeps moving.

Kawajiri is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kawajiri is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Andries is aware though and is defending well.

Kawajiri has his feet on Andries's thighs here. He's pushed Andries off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Andries screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
