Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago comes to the cage accompanied by Get it on the Floor-DMX. Barbosa has chosen Metallica - Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santiago fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Barbosa sprawls well initially but Santiago persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Barbosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santiago. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barbosa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Santiago is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Santiago is working for a kimura but Barbosa is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.

Santiago is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barbosa is just riding it out for now. Santiago eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santiago takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Santiago is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Santiago wants to pass to mount but Barbosa is defending the position.
Santiago uses his free foot to push down on Barbosa's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Barbosa.
