Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cole Magrath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magrath's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Linkin Park- Faint. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jenkins shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Jenkins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jenkins misses with a leg kick.
Magrath fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Magrath shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jenkins but Jenkins pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Magrath dives in and grabs Jenkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jenkins pushes down on Magrath's head and hops out.

Magrath bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Magrath stands up and beckons Jenkins to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jenkins tries to keep at a distance but Magrath has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jenkins using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Magrath has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jenkins wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Magrath escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Magrath wanted to stand there but Jenkins had control of the position.

Magrath stands up from Jenkins's guard - Magrath perhaps looking for a knockout.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Magrath.
Magrath moves in looking to clinch but Jenkins pushes him off.
Jenkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jenkins motions for Magrath to come forward. Jenkins throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Dan Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Magrath gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Magrath manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jenkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magrath. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jenkins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Magrath gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Magrath tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jenkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Magrath is defended easily by Jenkins.

and Magrath counters with a shoot takedown. Jenkins fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Magrath gets to his feet. Jenkins looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Magrath tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jenkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Magrath drops back looking for a leg! Jenkins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jenkins manages to kick Magrath off! Magrath jumps back into Jenkins's guard.

Magrath thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jenkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jenkins drops back, looking for a kneebar! Magrath looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Magrath looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Magrath!

Magrath wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jenkins, who protects the arm well.
Jenkins is trying to improve his position.

Magrath stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jenkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Magrath is fending him off so far but Jenkins persists. Nope, Magrath circles away and we're back to standing.
Cole Magrath has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Jenkins.

Magrath shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jenkins napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Cole Magrath is winning the standup battle so far.
Jenkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Magrath sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jenkins somewhat.

Jenkins shoots in looking for a takedown but Magrath manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jenkins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Magrath takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Magrath tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jenkins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jenkins throws a jab when Magrath was well out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Magrath changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jenkins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Magrath goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jenkins has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Magrath but great work by Jenkins.

Cole Magrath decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
