Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mardy Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diego Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mardy Bum!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bum doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.
Sanchez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bum was covering up waiting for the punch and Sanchez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sanchez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bum will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bum is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bum is looking for a sweep. Sanchez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bum wants to get back to full guard.

Sanchez drives through and clinches with Bum against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sanchez as Bum tries to tie him up.
Bum tries to break the clinch but Sanchez is controlling the position.

Sanchez is trying to keep Bum in close.
Bum trying to move into half guard but instead Sanchez has managed to sweep!

Sanchez is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Bum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanchez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bum with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sanchez fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sanchez jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bum is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bum and Sanchez has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bum is letting Sanchez control him for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bum throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sanchez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bum doesn't seem bothered though.
Sanchez swats away the attempt to clinch by Bum.

Sanchez is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Bum is hurt! He's hurt bad - Sanchez fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bum from any more punishment! Congratulations to Sanchez! Great finish!
