Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Igor Stroganovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Average Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroganovic comes to the cage accompanied by Fade to Black - Metallica. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe loads up on a big right hand but Stroganovic slips the punch.
Joe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Stroganovic finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Stroganovic throws a wild body kick that Joe sees coming a mile off.

Stroganovic lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

and Stroganovic counters with a head kick that drops Joe to the mat! Joe scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Joe tries to bum rush Stroganovic with a series of wild strikes but Stroganovic uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Stroganovic pushes Joe back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Joe tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Stroganovic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Joe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stroganovic.

Stroganovic tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Joe's elbow.

Stroganovic is trying to break the clinch but Joe is controlling him.
Joe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

and Stroganovic counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Joe scores with a one two! Stroganovic had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Joe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stroganovic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Joe throws a hook to the side of Stroganovic's head but Stroganovic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Stroganovic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Joe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Joe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Joe misses with an uppercut
and Stroganovic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Joe looks to throw the jab but Stroganovic is out of range.
Joe swats away the attempt to clinch by Stroganovic.
Joe misses with an uppercut. Stroganovic saw that one coming.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Joe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stroganovic closes the distance looking to clinch
and Joe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stroganovic's head.

and Joe counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Stroganovic! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Joe!
