Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Redman - Da goodness. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hunter Rose!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Smith.
A swing and a miss from Rose.
Smith looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rose misses with a body shot.

Smith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rose on his heels. He'll look to pass Rose's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Rose has his hands on Smith's head, controlling the position.

Hunter Rose has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Smith takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rose.

A jab from Smith finds it's way through Rose's defenses.
Rose chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Rose smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rose darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rose lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Smith has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Smith and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Smith moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Rose throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rose wants to land a leg kick but Smith is out of range.
Rose throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Rose tried to score with a low kick but Smith checks it.

Smith takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Rose goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Smith lands a nice looking body shot.
Hunter Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big left from Rose misses.
Good leg kick by Rose there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rose lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smith at a distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rose misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming.

Rose thuds his shin into the meat of Smith's side.

Hunter Rose dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rose lunges at Smith with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Smith's hand.
Rose jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Smith lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Rose with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Smith to score with a decent uppercut.

and Rose counters with a nice low kick that buckles Smith's knee momentarily.

Smith closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rose's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rose is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rose is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smith cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Smith wants to control the pace but Rose is squirming around nicely.
Smith lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rose hang on?

Smith is pressing down on Rose's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rose is holding on for now.
