Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Timbarlake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shogun Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by PRIDE FC Opening Theme. Shogun Silva looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shogun Silva!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timbarlake shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Timbarlake blocks a head kick by Silva.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Timbarlake feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Timbarlake changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Timbarlake controls the pace.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Timbarlake is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Timbarlake shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.

Timbarlake shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Silva seems a little lost for a moment, as Timbarlake dominates the positioning.
Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Timbarlake wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.
Timbarlake takes a little break here. Silva wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Timbarlake wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Silva takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Timbarlake takes a little break here. Silva wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Timbarlake is trying to get an arm triangle but Silva is defending well.
Timbarlake lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Silva down.

Silva tries to kick Timbarlake off but Timbarlake keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Timbarlake frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Timbarlake tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Timbarlake seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.

And that's the end of the fight!
Paul Timbarlake showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Timbarlake, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
