Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kevin Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagat has chosen Top Shotter as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Victor Sagat!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker swings widly with a right hand
and Sagat counters with a leg kick.
Walker takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sagat throws out a powerful jab.
Walker lands an overhand right.
Walker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walker throws a shot from downtown. Sagat moves away and avoids it.
Walker takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Walker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Walker blocks the body kick.
Victor Sagat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sagat scores with a jab.
Good work by Sagat as he checks the leg kick.
Walker moves out of range of the leg kick from Sagat.
Walker misses with a wild body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker is looking to slow Sagat down with leg kicks.
Walker misses with an uppercut
and Sagat counters with a solid body kick.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Sagat.
Walker misses the shot to the body.
Walker needs to keep his hands up - Sagat had a free shot at his head there.
A jab from Sagat finds it's way through Walker's defenses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sagat closes the distance but Walker moves to the side
and Walker counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Victor Sagat has been cut.
Sagat throws a leg kick but Walker sees it coming and moves out of range.
A jab from Walker misses.
Sagat works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sagat moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sagat clinches with his opponent.
Sagat lands a knee to the body.
Come on Sagat - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Walker is struggling to control the position.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Walker throws a head punch that misses.
Sagat with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Sagat is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Walker is defending well for now.
Sagat tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Walker leaning his opponent against the ropes.
Walker misses with a hook from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker misses with a short punch on the inside.
Walker taking a breather.
Walker fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sagat obliges.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sagat.
Walker will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sagat up against the ropes.
Walker misses with the head strike.
Sagat with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Sagat using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Walker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Sagat lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Nice body punch from Walker.
Sagat landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Walker is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walker has a couple of punches blocked by Sagat.
Sagat is trying to force a seperation but Walker has the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker is trying to maintain a safe position but Sagat gets an underhook and turns Walker into the ropes.
Sagat tries to land a knee to the head but Walker blocks with his arms.
Sagat tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Walker's elbow.
Sagat tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Walker avoids it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Walker.
Walker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sagat backwards.
Walker tries to work over Sagat's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Walker lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Walker working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Walker lands with a left to the head.
Walker creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Sagat crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Sagat face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Walker takes it with a brutal technical knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Kevin Walker!
