Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Engbloom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Harrison Locke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Darius Engbloom!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engbloom fails with a takedown attempt.
Darius Engbloom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Locke falls off balance throwing a combination

and Engbloom counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Engbloom is looking to work some ground and pound but Locke has wrist control.
Locke avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Engbloom postures up in Locke's guard and throws a big left but Locke blocks it.
Engbloom throws a big right hand that misses.
Engbloom postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Engbloom should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Engbloom is in close to Locke's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Engbloom makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Engbloom stands up over Locke, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Locke is looking to regain half guard here but Engbloom keeps moving and retains side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Engbloom throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Locke works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Engbloom winds up and cracks Locke with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Engbloom seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Locke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Locke is trying to get back to full guard.
Engbloom thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Locke's head.
Engbloom is trying to control the action in half guard but Locke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Engbloom is just content to waste time from the top position. Locke takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Engbloom wants to pass the guard but Locke is keeping the position.

Locke avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Engbloom has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Locke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Engbloom throws a shot from downtown. Locke moves away and avoids it.
Locke digs a good body shot into Engbloom's ribs.

and Locke counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Engbloom has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Locke.
Engbloom is breathing heavily.

Locke thuds a left hand into Engbloom's body.
Engbloom takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Locke lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Engbloom at a distance.
Engbloom on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Locke feints a jab promting Engbloom to slip. Locke then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Engbloom slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Darius Engbloom has been cut.
Locke connects with a leg kick. Engbloom looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Harrison Locke is winning the standup battle so far.
Locke will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice uppercut lands for Locke. That snapped Engbloom's head back.

Locke fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Locke throws a right and a left that Engbloom avoids nicely.
Locke throws a nice looking combination but Engbloom bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Locke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No joy there for Locke, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Locke bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Engbloom's head.
Locke throws a right and a left that Engbloom avoids nicely.

Locke lands a jab-cross combination.

That has opened up Darius Engbloom's cut even more.
Engbloom takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The cut above Darius Engbloom's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Locke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Locke drops Engbloom with a beautiful combination! Engbloom stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Locke is looking for the KO!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Darius Engbloom's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
