Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ragna Kisaragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ragna Kisaragi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronnie Carlton!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kisaragi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Carlton at a distance.
Carlton drops Kisaragi with a left right combo! Carlton follows him down to the ground into side control.


Kisaragi is rocked!


It looks like Ragna Kisaragi has been cut.

Carlton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Oh Kisaragi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kisaragi seems to have got his legs back now.
Kisaragi sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carlton wants to control but Kisaragi is keeping him busy.

Carlton is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kisaragi could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kisaragi tries to get to full guard but Carlton has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Carlton walks into a stiff left hand from Kisaragi.
Kisaragi thuds his right hand into Carlton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kisaragi dips to his left and cracks Carlton with an uppercut!

Carlton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kisaragi.
Carlton throws a series of punches but Kisaragi moves out of range.

Carlton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Carlton being controlled here, momentarily.

Carlton has his foot on Kisaragi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kisaragi works his way back into a safe position though.

Carlton controls Kisaragi momentarily but Kisaragi frees himself.
Carlton wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Kisaragi is now in half guard.
Carlton wants to control but Kisaragi is keeping busy.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kisaragi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carlton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kisaragi lands with a punch from half guard.
Carlton gets full guard.
Kisaragi wants to control from the top but Carlton keeps moving.
Carlton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Carlton keeping moving, preventing Kisaragi from controlling successfully.
Carlton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kisaragi controls the pace.
Carlton looking to control.
Kisaragi wants to stand but Carlton is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Carlton looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kisaragi is defending well. Carlton quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kisaragi has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Carlton celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ronnie Carlton!
