Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maek Houzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kilian O Donnel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houzo shoots in for a takedown but O Donnel shows good takedown defense.
O Donnel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
O Donnel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Houzo counters with a single leg into guard. O Donnel didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
O Donnel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Houzo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Houzo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed O Donnel's guard.
O Donnel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Houzo pulls his head out easily.
Houzo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Houzo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down O Donnel for as long as he can get away with.

Houzo is taking a breather. O Donnel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Houzo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Houzo lands with some strikes.
The referee warns O Donnel that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Houzo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. O Donnel turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Houzo off and cradles O Donnel's limp body as Houzo celebrates with his corner.
