The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ono darts in and clinches Vallens up against the cage.
Vallens managing to block the knees to the body from Ono.
Vallens tries to pull guard but Ono won't allow it.
Ono throws an elbow but it misses.
Vallens blocks an elbow strike from Ono.
Ono lands an elbow that stopped Vallens in his tracks for a moment.

Ono pushes off an throws an elbow but Vallens leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Vallens tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ono smiles and moves away.

A slapping leg kick lands for Ono.
Ono throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vallens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ono tries to avoid it but Vallens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ono to the ground. Ono escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vallens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ono pinned against the cage. Ono gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
