Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Lehnsherr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caden Akergaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lehnsherr's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, PURE EVIL!. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akergaard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lehnsherr.
Lehnsherr throws out a loose jab but Akergaard uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lehnsherr darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lehnsherr doesn't manage to clinch there - Akergaard circles away.

Akergaard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Akergaard drops back looking for a leg! Lehnsherr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lehnsherr manages to kick Akergaard off! Akergaard jumps back into Lehnsherr's guard.
Lehnsherr is looking to stand up but Akergaard isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Erik Lehnsherr.

Akergaard misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

You can see the frustration on Lehnsherr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Caden Akergaard wasn't active enough on the ground.
Akergaard throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The crowd cheers as Lehnsherr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Akergaard doesn't seem phased though.
Lehnsherr will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Akergaard closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lehnsherr quickly recovers to half guard.

Lehnsherr throws the left hand but Akergaard avoids the punch easily.

and Akergaard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lehnsherr's knee momentarily.

Akergaard is trying to pull guard but Lehnsherr has him pressed against the cage.

Lehnsherr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Akergaard gets a double leg takedown into Lehnsherr's guard.
Akergaard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Akergaard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
