PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacobs comes to the cage accompanied by Hell. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Glen Jacobs !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Jones!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jacobs dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Jacobs 's head and hops out.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jacobs swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jacobs misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jacobs shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jacobs .

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jacobs , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Glen Jacobs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
