Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Adam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devan Dubnyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam comes to the cage accompanied by Grateful Deads- Truckin'. Dubnyk has chosen Obnoxious - Immortal Technique as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dubnyk tests Adam's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dubnyk with a nice cross.
Adam avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dubnyk misses with a straight right.
Dubnyk throws a nice looking combination but Adam bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Adam connects with an inside leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Adam.
Adam goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Adam misses with a looping right.
Adam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dubnyk misses with a right hand
and Adam counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Adam buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Dubnyk getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Dubnyk moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

A left and a right from Dubnyk both land. Nice combination.
Adam throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Dubnyk throws a hook to the side of Adam's head but Adam sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dubnyk lands a really nice looking cross but Adam seems unphased.

and Adam counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Adam is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dubnyk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adam swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Adam avoids the body shot from Dubnyk.
Dubnyk takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dubnyk swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Adam tries to throw a body punch but Dubnyk avoids it by throwing Adam back against the cage.
Dubnyk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rob Adam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dubnyk throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Adam's head.
Adam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dubnyk forces Adam back against the cage and clinches.

Adam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Adam loads up on a big right hand but Dubnyk slips the punch.
Dubnyk slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Dubnyk lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Adam takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dubnyk.
Dubnyk scores with a nice right hand.

Adam takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Oh Adam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dubnyk avoids a kick to the body.
Dubnyk might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Adam misses with the body kick
and Dubnyk scores with a counter punch that sends Adam to the canvas! Dubnyk smells blood - he's punishing Adam with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Adam has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
