The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shepard ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Siracusa throws a body punch but Shepard moves out of range.
Siracusa throws a big shot that misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Siracusa.
Shepard just misses with a punch to the body.
Siracusa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shepard counters with a two punch combo.

Siracusa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Siracusa is looking to advance position but Shepard won't allow it.

Shepard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Siracusa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
