Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arjay Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murphy comes to the cage accompanied by Feel the Rush. Dean Larson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy loads up on a big right hand but Larson slips the punch.
Murphy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Larson.
Murphy is not content to let Larson control the position.
Murphy trying to control but Larson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Murphy covering up well and avoiding damage.
Murphy avoids the strikes from Larson.

Murphy wants to escape the position.
Larson has good solid back control here.

Larson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Murphy defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Larson goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Murphy escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Murphy is thwarting Larson's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are battling for position here. Larson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Larson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Murphy has picked Larson up and slammed him! Larson can't keep hold of the triangle and Murphy manages to pass to side control!

Murphy goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Larson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Murphy's guard! Nice work there by Larson!
Larson wants to pass the guard but Murphy is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murphy trying to keep a closed guard but Larson is proving a slippery customer.
Murphy wants to sweep here but Larson controlling him for the moment.
Murphy is working hard here to advance position.
Larson is looking to work some ground and pound but Murphy has wrist control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Murphy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Larson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Murphy.

Larson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Murphy has escaped the position, nice work there.
Murphy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Larson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murphy keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Larson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Larson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Murphy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Larson manages to avoid it.
Murphy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Larson moves away.
Larson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Murphy as he jumps to the side.
Murphy moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Murphy misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murphy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Murphy clobbers Larson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nice shot lands for Murphy.
Arjay Murphy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Larson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Larson seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Murphy shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Larson is backing up but Murphy catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Larson covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Murphy Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
