Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Quelhas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quelhas has chosen Paradise City-Gun's 'N' Roses as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Quelhas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Quelhas.

Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Quelhas circles away quickly and effectively.

and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Quelhas's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Quelhas looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jones is defending well. Quelhas quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jones has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Quelhas celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nathan Quelhas!
After the fight, Nathan Quelhas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
